LY12 aluminum bar is the first Series 2000 alloy to be used in industrial applications, with high strength and good machinability, but poor corrosion resistance. The 2 series of aluminum alloy is characterized by high hardness, of which the copper original content is the highest, about 3-5%. [1] Series 2 aluminum sheet belongs to aviation aluminum and is currently not commonly used in conventional industries.
At present, fewer manufacturers are producing 2 series alloys in China. The quality cannot be compared with foreign countries. At present, the imported aluminum plate is mainly provided by the United States, South Korean, and German production enterprises. With the development of China’s aerospace industry, the production technology of aluminum alloy series 2 will be further improved.
