5A02 is Al-Mg anti-rust type aluminum alloy, which cannot be heat treated and strengthened. The alloy has a lower magnesium content, higher plasticity, good forming, and lower strength, but higher strength than 3A21 alloy. Cold deformation can increase its strength, while plasticity is reduced. The alloy has good corrosion resistance and is suitable for use in marine environments. The weldability of the alloy is good. Its machinability is poor in the annealing state, and the semi-cold cherry blossom state can improve the machinability.
Typical uses
Alloy 5A02 is suitable for welded structures and containers with high process plasticity requirements and good corrosion resistance, such as fuel tanks, gasoline and lubricating oil conduits, nails, flanges, and light-duty parts, interior decoration parts of ships and vehicles, etc., and wire rods are used as rivets or welding rods.
