7A09 belongs to the Al-Zn-Mg-Cu series of super-duralumin, which is an ultra-high-strength deformed aluminum alloy that has been applied to the aircraft manufacturing industry since the late 1940s and is still widely used in the aviation industry. It is characterized by good plasticity after solid solution treatment, especially good heat treatment strengthening effect, high strength below 150 ° C, and particularly good low temperature strength; Poor welding performance; Stress corrosion cracking tendency; Requires aluminium or other protective treatment. The two-stage aging effect improves the resistance of the alloy to stress corrosion cracking. The plasticity in the annealed and rigidly quenched state is slightly lower than that of 2A12 in the same state.
Typical uses
7A09 is mainly used for the manufacture of aircraft structures and other high stress structural parts with high strength and corrosion resistance, such as aircraft, lower wing wall panels, trusses, etc. Good plasticity after solid solution treatment, good heat treatment strengthening effect, good strength below 150 degrees, and particularly good low temperature strength, poor welding performance, stress corrosion cracking tendency. It is also widely used in mold processing, machinery and equipment, tooling fixtures, aerospace industry, blow molding (bottle) mold, ultrasonic plastic welding mold, golf head, shoe mold, paper mold, foam molding mold, wax removal mold, mechanical equipment, used to make high-end aluminum alloy bicycle frame. In 2014, it will be used for the first time as the body material of the smartphone OPPO N3.
